Originally from East Grinstead, I worked full-time for about 12 years for The Caravan Club, following a secretarial course at Crawley College (now Central Sussex College). I held various admin roles, until I was promoted to Assistant, closely followed by Deputy Editor for the Sites Directory Department. Two years later I left to have our first child

Having decided to give up full-time work to look after our family, I realised that I wanted to keep up my secretarial skills by starting my own business (then Edwards Typing Services). Then in 2005 my husband started up his own consultancy business - Weald Business Solutions – providing the perfect opportunity for me to give him the secretarial support he needed, which still applies today. Gradually we both gained the skills to efficiently run and market both his business and mine, which subsequently became Virtual Assistant Sussex.

Virtual Assistant Sussex

More recently I have become aware that many small business owners, simply do not have enough hours in the day to keep on top of their paperwork. This usually results in precious time in the evenings and weekends being used instead, eating into social life and family time.

We understand how difficult it is to juggle a new business with family responsibilities, hence the birth of Virtual Assistant Sussex. Nowadays we offer a wider range of secretarial services to small business owners who may need extra help from time-to-time or on a longer-term basis. Personal work is also welcome.

If you're experiencing any problems with your current resources that can't be fixed by Virtual Assistant Sussex, please feel to contact our partner Phil Edwards at Weald Business Solutions for an informal chat.
